Safari Poem
Poetry is essential for developing language skills. Through rhyme and rhythm learners are exposed to sounds and thus use this knowledge for written language. Here Kimi Akau are performing their Safari Poem on the outside deck.

Oh wow, Kimi Akau! You so scared me with that lion's roar! What awesome acting I saw while you recited the poem. I really enjoyed that! I could hear that you recognised the rhythm in this poem because so many of you were stamping your feet in time! Ka pai!
