The Starwars Concept group have been learning about change, looking at the weather, and experiments with ice. They all chose their favourite piece of writing and here they are;

Koru Art

Kia ora koutou. In Kimi aakau we are celebrating Māori Language Week. In art we are exploring koru patterns through the medium of pastel. We found the stencilling challenging. Look at our growth mindsets! Ka kite ano. 

Immersed in Fractions

We have been immersed in fractions this week. We have been choosing our own activities to do with fractions and are learning what they look and feel like.

The Book Nook

We have a new Book Nook in Kimi Akau. It is a place we can go to read quietly on our own. 

Collaborating Crafts

We are learning to share ideas and equipment to make some wonderful artwork. Super collaborating today Kimi Akau! 

Kimi Akau Mahi Pai

  

We chose our Mahi Pai (good learning actions) for our Kimi Akau community. Our Tiki is looking out for people who are showing Mahi Pai.

He chose Chase to get the first Mahi Pai in Kimi Akau for good listening. 

Today Tiki was watching out for people who were working together, sharing and helping each other. Look at us sharing our equipment and colouring our own tiki.

We sang the Taniwha song with Ms. Eve. We are going to make our own Taniwha to protect our learning habitiat.
