Koru Art

Kia ora koutou. In Kimi aakau we are celebrating Māori Language Week. In art we are exploring koru patterns through the medium of pastel. We found the stencilling challenging. Look at our growth mindsets! Ka kite ano. 

Maori Battalion Song

Kia ora. We have been learning the Maori Battalion Song. During the war the Maori Battalion used to sing it to remind them of home because they were so far away. Ask your child to sing it to you - there are some tricky words in there!
